Lions the are he only "social" member of the cat family. Lions live in large groups called "prides", that consisit of about 15 lions. Female lions and their cubs make the majority of the pride. A single male, or sometimes a small group of males (2-3) are in a pride for an indefinite period of time. Female lions are the pride's primarly hunters. They often work together to prey upon antelopes, zebras, wildebeest, and other large animals of the open grasslands. Many of these animals are faster than lions, so their teamwork plays off.
